Aer Arran launches new flight services
JUST weeks after the recommencement of its Kerry to Manchester service Aer Arann, has this week teamed up with Aer LIngus to launch two new flights from Cork.
Aer Lingus Regional, operated by Aer Arann, is to provide additional flights to Manchester and Birmingham that will effectively double the number of services on each route.
The increased frequency means that the Manchester service will operate twice a day seven days per week, while the Birmingham service will operate twice a day six days a week with a single return flight on Saturdays.
The new schedule will offer business customers the frequency required to spend a full business day in Cork, Kerry, Manchester or Birmingham and it will offer additional choice for leisure passengers.
Aer Arann corporate affairs director, Andrew Kelly, remarked: "We are delighted to launch these flights as part of the franchise agreement in the same week that we launched new franchise services to four UK cities from Shannon."
He added: "The addition of these new services, combined with the services already operating under the Aer Lingus Regional franchise from Cork offer passengers travelling to and from each of these destinations greater choice, flexibility and convenience.
